It was just an ordinary winter night, not much different from any other, but a little colder. Bob went outside to get some wood for his fire. He couldn’t even imagine that that might have been the last time he actually walked out of his home, and that he might never walk in again.
As soon as he got out he slipped and broke his neck. He had been lying outside for twenty hours, completely paralyzed, unable to call for help. Luckily, his dog Kelsey heard him and ran out to help.
