When they reached this dog, they saw a heartbreaking sight. Even though he was covered in flies, they realized that his heart was still beating. They carried the puppy to safety in their sanctuary. He was given IV fluids and was diagnosed with a bad case of respiratory infection. His health had many rise and falls during the next two months, but he came out of it stronger.
