Three orphaned kittens were dumped at a shelter. Then this dog met these helpless babies...
We’ve all heard the phrase “they fight like cats and dogs”! To misquote Jane Austen, “IT is a truth universally acknowledged, that a pooch in possession of a normal dog nature must hate a cat.” It’s something we all take for granted! It’s one of the world’s greatest rivalries, along with Wile E. Coyote and The Road Runner, Real Madrid and Barcelona, Nadal and Djokovic, Mozart and Salieri etc.This dog clearly doesn’t give a damn about the established order! When a lady dropped off three motherless kittens at the Animal Shetler of Pickens County on Camp Road in Jasper, Georgia, the dog Mary decided to become their foster mother. She adopted them without any prejudices, and decided to be their mom from then on.
When they arrived the kittens were only one week old, and their eyes were still closed. Their mother had been probably hit by a car. The people working at the shelter knew that they wouldn’t survive without motherly care, so they decided to try and pair them with a cat foster mother first. But since that wasn’t working well, they decided to try and pair them with Mary which was an immediate success! Just look how adorable Mary’s puppies and kittens look together!
