The Red Hot Chili Peppers recently visited Koko the Gorilla at Koko & The Gorilla Foundation in Woodside, California. Seizing the opportunity, the bass player of the band, Flea, decided to give the beautiful animal some music lessons. According to him, it was the best thing that has ever happened.

Koko is 45 years old. This brilliant gorilla has wowed us many times in the past. When she was just a baby, she was introduced to English language. She started learning sign language by the time she was one. Koko now knows 1,000 signs from a modified version of sign language, called “Gorilla Sign Language” or GSL. Wait till you see how curious she gets when they hand the guitar over to her!
