Elephant Approaches Humans For Help After He Survives A Poacher's Bullet Lodged In His Skull

Elephants are one of the most incredible animals on earth. They are beautiful look at, but they are also very strong and loving. Often called gentle giants, these massive creatures are renowned all over the world for their intelligence as well. But unfortunately, they have been hunted and slaughtered by poachers for years now. Even though there are laws forbidding this, we haven’t seen many positive results.

Meet Pretty Boy. This beautiful elephant literally escaped death by a few centimeters. He was shot by a poacher in the head and the bullet thankfully missed the “kill spot”. The bullet missed the truly fatal spot and lodged itself a few centimeters above it. But he realized he was in trouble, so he approached humans for help. He was tranquilized and they took an x ray, which revealed a deformed and infected bullet in his skull. Pretty Boy had to undergo surgery to remove the bullet.
